Privacy Policy

Men Who Chatt is an Open Men’s Group based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, affiliated with the ManKind Project (MKP) USA. We take your privacy seriously — this is a brotherhood built on trust, and that starts with how we handle your information.

We never want you to receive a message you didn’t ask for, so we will never sell or rent your personal information, and we will never share it for anyone else’s marketing. We collect only what we need to consider your application, run our circles, and help the men in this group show up for one another.

Information we collect

• What you give us when you apply: your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to tell us about yourself or why you’re reaching out.
• Your member profile: details you choose to add (such as contact information and how you’d like to be reached), and your per-field choices about what other members can see.
• Participation: your RSVPs and attendance, optional check-ins, and any support requests you choose to make. This is the most sensitive information we hold and is treated accordingly — see below.
• Limited technical data: we use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out of the public application form, and we keep basic security logs. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or social-media pixels.

How we use your information

• To consider your application and have a leader follow up with you.
• To run the group: schedule circles and events, send reminders, and coordinate who’s coming.
• To support member wellbeing — for example, alerting a leader when a man asks for support (only when he chooses to).
• To keep the platform and your account secure.

Text messages (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we send text messages for circle and event reminders (which you can reply to with YES or NO), and — only if you ask for support — to alert a leader so a hard moment doesn’t go unseen. SMS is delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio.

Your mobile phone number and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

When we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:

• Service providers who help us operate the platform, bound to protect your information and use it only on our behalf: Supabase (secure database, login, and file storage), Twilio (text messaging), Resend (email, including your sign-in links), and Cloudflare (bot protection on the application form).
• The ManKind Project USA. Because we are an MKP-affiliated group, we may share limited application contact information with MKP USA to coordinate your participation. We do not share it for marketing.
• Safety and legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect someone’s safety — including the one standing exception to confidentiality that every man affirms when he applies: a risk of harm to yourself or others.

Confidentiality within the group

What’s said in circle stays in circle — confidentiality is our first ground rule, upheld by the brotherhood. This policy covers the data the platform holds; the ground rules cover what is spoken among us. Access to sensitive records (attendance, check-ins, and support requests) is strictly limited: members cannot see one another’s, and only leaders can see what they need to in order to care for the group.

Keeping and removing your information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to run the group and support your participation. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing info@pursuitlink.com. We’ll honor reasonable requests, except where we’re required to keep certain records.

Security

We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, including row-level access controls that enforce who can see what. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit who can reach it.

Adults only

Men Who Chatt is for men 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated to members.
