Welcome to Men Who Chatt, an Open Men’s Group based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, affiliated with the ManKind Project (MKP) USA. By applying to, accessing, or participating in Men Who Chatt — through this website or in person — you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Who can join

Men Who Chatt is open to any man 18 or older who identifies as a man and is willing to live by our ground rules. We welcome all who attend regardless of race, ethnicity, ability, socioeconomic status, age, religion, or sexual orientation. Membership is by application and approval; we may decline an application, or pause or end a man’s participation, at our discretion — particularly where conduct puts the safety of the group at risk.

What this is — and what it isn’t

Men Who Chatt is a brotherhood and a peer-support community. It is not a religious organization, and it is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or mental-health treatment, and it is not a substitute for any of those. Our circles and this platform are not a crisis or emergency service.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911 in an emergency.

Confidentiality and the ground rules

Confidentiality is our first ground rule: what’s said in circle stays in circle. By participating, you agree to hold what other men share in confidence. The one standing exception, which every man affirms when he applies, is that facilitators are not bound by confidentiality where there is suicidal ideation or intent to harm yourself or others.

How you’re expected to conduct yourself

• Treat other men with respect. Disruptive, harassing, threatening, or abusive behavior is the one thing that isn’t welcome — it’s the boundary that keeps everyone else safe.
• Honor confidentiality and the privacy of other members, including any information you encounter through the platform.
• Use the platform only for its intended purpose, and don’t attempt to access information or accounts that aren’t yours.

Your account

Access is approval-gated and uses passwordless sign-in links sent to your email. Keep your email account secure and don’t share your sign-in links. Each man owns his own profile and is responsible for the information he provides. You’re responsible for activity under your account.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive SMS for circle reminders and, if you request it, support alerts. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your number.

Content and intellectual property

The Men Who Chatt name, the content on this site, and related materials are the property of Men Who Chatt and its affiliates and may not be copied or reused without permission. Anything you submit remains yours; by submitting it, you give us permission to use it as needed to operate the group and serve you.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform and our gatherings are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Men Who Chatt, its leaders, volunteers, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or participation in the group. Participation is voluntary and at your own discretion.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
